Last night was the worst night since I have been here. I got on the contraction monitor at around 945 and before my hour was up they walked in with my terb. They only give me the terb if I have had more then 6 contractions in the hour. After that they are now to monitor me for 2 more hours to be sure my contractions have stopped and well before that two hours were over they had to give me another shot since the contractions were not wanting to stop. I had also had a shot earlier in the morning so that is three shots in 24 hours. DANG!!! I thought now I have to get back on the iv and Magnesium. About 3 am I had the iv in and the meds were flowing. They had a hard time finding a vein though and now it is in my hand which I don’t like. I may have them move it as it hurts. Maybe I am becoming a baby I am not sure. So after the iv and Mag was flowing they had to monitor the babies to be sure they were not bothered by everything and they were fine but that was for about 1 hour or more. I had fallen asleep at that point but I wasn’t in a full sleep since the nurse had to hold the babies on. They were fine but they were active after all that. I guess it was their way of saying they didn’t want their mommy to have an iv either. They did let me sleep in and I finally woke up at 940. I actually had to wake myself up since I had to eat and use the restroom. On my way back from the bathroom I felt as if I was going to pass out but I made it back to my bed and called in the nurse. She said it was because of me not having food in my stomach and the Magnesium can make your body a little funny (my words not hers). Today I have slept a lot and I finally ate my lunch at around 3 as I slept right through lunch time. I could sleep more but I want to make sure that I am going to be able to sleep tonight. I have only had one shot today so I am hoping that I do not need any more as I am not sure what they would do if I had to get more shots. Well onto the rest of the day. I hope I can sleep tonight.

He is doing a lot better. I guess he went out last night with his buddies. The doctors said he had an infection but he is doing better and that is all that matters. I want to Thank everyone who prayed for him and I know it worked becuase he is feeling better and is almost back to his old self again. Again Thank You everyone

Whenever you ask people where they are FROM, there is always some followup statement that sounds something like…
“Oh, but I grew up in LA” or “Oh but I grew up in New York”.
Like they somehow must right the wrong in their lives that has led them to Des Moines, IA.
So.

Where did you “grow up” and was your childhood culdesac as rad as the kids on E.T. had it?

So the official answer for me? Reno, Nevada! I lived in St. Thomas, USVI for the first year or so of my life, but moved to Reno when I was one. I lived in this house till I joined the Navy.

My parents have since remodeled it and it doesn’t even look like the same house anymore. I’m suprised that Google had this recent of a picture. Anyway, my parents still live there (for the most part) and spend a lot of their time at Tahoe too. I grew up there as well, but I can’t really say I lived there till I was 17. My parents rented out a little cabin in the “woods” that I can’t remember the address too. Anyway, I was only there during the summers. When I was 16, I pretty much lived on our boat in Tahoe City during the Summer. That was fun too. For the most part, Reno is my home. Tahoe is where my heart is. Anyway…

I so need to be doing other things right now. Where did you grow up?

My little brother Tim went to the hospital today with stomach pains. The doc thought that it might be his appendix they gave him a CAT Scan and did some other stuff. They didn’t think it was his appendix but his white blood count was at about 17,000 ( I think) Which is very high. I haven’t heard anything since then but I think they are back in the hospital. I will give everyone an update as soon as I get them but if you could please pray for him and my mom and step dad that would be much appreciated. He is only 19 and has no previous health issues that I know of and I am hoping and praying that it is something small that can be fixed easily.

Chris and I have had baby names in mind for a while but on the way to the hospital we made a decision. The only problem was Chris couldn’t agree with me on the spelling or middle name for our little girl. I finally got him to see that I was right I love you Chris. So thier names are:

Savannah Marie and Garrett McBride and every one knows Ryan Matthew.

I figured since the boys have initials or even names after family members that I would have savannah have the same middle initial as her brothers and that is how we got Marie. Garrett has the same initials and same middle name as Chris’ Uncle George, and Ryan has the same initials as Chris’ Dad.  So it is official.
