Great presents!

I just want to say that Chris you did well on the shopping this year. I was totally surprised for Christmas but the stuff you got will help as this pregnancy progresses. The birthday present I will have to try it every day for a long time to be able to use it and use it the right way.
I can now log into the computer with my passwords and not have to worry about Chris not knowing his passwords. The Macbook is great thank you. The brain age (for DS) is cool as well except I don’t like what it says my brain age is.
I got my birthday present a little early this year since we will be driving to San Fransisco for a wedding on my birthday. Chris and Ryan got me a guitar, yes I am going to learn how to play the bass. He got me an Ibanez GSR200FM and it is a beautiful blue and black. I also got a computer program that will help me learn how to play.  Thank You for the presents. Next is your turn.

I Survived

Yes Folks, I survived my skiing trip. We stopped at Tahoe Dave’s and rented some skis, boots, poles, and pants. I skied for the first time on Parabolic (Shaped) skis and let’s say it was interesting. They were K2 Comanche 160’s. I’ve never skied on skis that small.

We made our way to Squaw Valley where Dad has his skis and met up with Ken, His grand-daughters, and Jay and his Dad. With the exception of Amanda who is 13 and learning how to snowboard, I was the novice of the group.  I fell once on the bunny hill and didn’t think to much of it. But the I couldn’t get back into my bindings. Took me about 10 minutes. I finally made it down tot the bottom of the hill. [Read more →]

Going Skiing…

So tomorrow we’re going skiing at Squaw Valley, the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. Dad has a season pass there and is a Member. They also have a fantastic deal:

EXCEPT:

* Blackout Dates (December 25, 2008- January 4, 2009, January 17-19, 2009 and February 14-16, 2009)

Now what kind of horse puckey is that? Well non-the-less it will be the first time on ski’s in about 16 years. I will get to see my budy Jay who is an avid skiier. Last time I saw him was at my wedding (he was a groomsman) almost three years ago. So anyway, I’ll have to start out on the bunny slopes and make my way up. I probably will be skiing solo for a while till I get back into the hang of things.

Anyway, pray that I don’t break anything. See you later.

New Tweet on Twitter

So with Stephanie’s new laptop, I created her a new Twitter account. I tried adding it to the widgets on the side of the blog, but apparently you can’t have two separate accounts doing that at this time.

Well, I found a work-a-round for now. It just looks horrible though. I’ll leave it up for now. Eventually I will fix it when Twitter fixes it. Have fun and say hi to @mommy7707 when you get a chance!

Merry Christmas!

It snowed all night long and the wind was kicking. The heated entry way can’t even keep up to melt the snow. We woke up, walked the dogs and waited for Ryan to wake up. He slept in pretty later.

The snow blower finally came to clear the driveway so I took some measurements. There is a lot more to come. Standby for more pictures.

Merry Christmas. Happy Birthday Jesus!
