Check this guys’ house out! I can’t believe it! He uses software to synchronize every single light and even his movies. It spans from his house including the neighbors on either side. So incredibly amazing!

Last night Jon and I went to Radio Shack looking for a wireless video/audio transmitter system. We figured Radio Shack would have a handle on this.
We charge in and head for a section that looks like it might have it. As we are headed there, a nice young lady asks if we need help. I say, “Sure! I’m looking for a wireless system to transmit S-Video and stereo audio from point A to point B.” I chose to spare the details of coming out of the broadcast rack from the DV deck thru the scaler, etc, etc. She heads straight to the computer. After a while she looks up at me and says, “What do you mean from point a to point b?” I was stunned. I thought to myself, “Seriously? Did I not dumb that down enough? Did I not use plain terms?” After I re-explained she said, “From a VCR to a TV?” “Sure, yeah that’s what I mean.” She continues to look at the computer. “So you need wireless…”
At this point I’m about to go look myself like I should have in the first place. She continues to look at the computer and gives up. She looks at her coworker and asks him, “Hey, do we have anything that transmits S-Video and audio wireless from point A to point B?” His response, “You can do that?”
We promptly left and went to Best Buy. After Jon and I wandered thru and drooled in the Mac section we found exactly what we needed in five minutes. A wireless 2.4ghz composite video/stereo that worked perfectly. Now it’s a great temporary fix until we get something a little more professional. It sure made Pastor John happy!
Today was such an excellent day! I didn’t end up playing Bass which was a good things since I’ve never really played before and I didn’t know any of the songs. Well how to play them anyway. I feel that Bass would be easier for me to pick up then guitar since I can think about one note at a time pretty good. Ha ha…
Anyway, It was Jon and I for tech with Richard Oberle bailing us out for our last Service! Thanks man! Jon was really good today. Didn’t miss one cue! Dude, he’s rocking it. Richard stepped right up to the plate taking the camera while I futzed with lights and checked out our new toy. I’ll cover that in a minute. Andre ran sound even though he’s not feeling 100% yet. Dude, I love your tenacity for serving. Not only just making a point to show up when you don’t feel that hot, but still wanting to perfect the art of mixing the FOH to the best it can be. Tonight was a pretty simple service. Karl and Jamianne lead worship with an acoutic band. Two percussionists (Rich and Tom), a Bass (Tim, good to see you back man!), and Chase on Acoustic. For some reason I decided to bring my guitar with me and sure enough, it was needed. The cool thing is Karl is going to re-string it tomorrow for me!
