Weekend Re-Wind
Two weeks in a row I’ve had more people then I knew what to do with. So amazing! I’m so thankful to everyone that showed up. I was able to walk away from the 1st Sunday service today for the most part. Unfortunately, I walked away and I saw things not happening the way they should. I feel for the team because I came down pretty hard on them between services. The first service on Sunday is really our second since we have our first on Saturday night. Saturday is really the rehearsal. We should know exactly what’s going on for Sunday by this point.
The sound guy didn’t get the message that the video has a spoof at the end, so he cut the audio before it was over. Then on the third service, the video guys rolled the video, but didn’t switch the mixer to the mac so all we heard was audio. Thankfully it was a logo and they didn’t miss any of the meat. The spoof finally got played though. <video embedded RSS’ers>
The service last night we didn’t have any exit music rolling while everyone was dismissed providing an awkward moment. I must give him a compliment though, it was his first weekend running solo and is a new guy. So more power to him and he shouldn’t worry, it comes over time.
While trying to put a back up projector up for our center screen we knocked down one of the mounts for the side projector. So I ended up taking that projector down and putting it on the center screen. I tried to run the back up on the side screen and it doesn’t like any image with white for some reason. I ended up just running the center and Stage Left.
During the final service, God was truly flowing in the congregation. People were really worshiping, more laughter, good interaction, then…Somehow the Stage Left speakers were shut off. I have no idea how or why. Nobody noticed, but me.
Ended service on a good note. Came home and watched the Chargers/Steelers game. Wow, taht was such an amazing game. Lots of play for the defense. Just wish the final score was in favor of the Chargers. 11-10 Steelers. Now off to spend time with my family. How’d your weekend go?
